| | Ben's first foray into film came when he was seven years old. Shot on super-8 film, it was a re-enactment of the opening of "Raiders of the Lost Ark" when Indiana Jones steals the idol off the pedestal and then runs for dear life, complete with a shot of grabbing his hat while the garage door was closing on top of him. Fortunately, all evidence of this film was destroyed long ago, but the memory lives on in his mother's heart... There are other embarrassing film moments in Ben's past, but they all served as a training ground for how to tell a story visually. In high school, Ben played in a number of bands and made several music videos and in 1998 he graduated from Harding University with a Bachelor's Degree in Theatre. While at Harding, he frequently used film in plays that he directed to enhance the visuals of the set and to help tell the story. | | In 1999, He learned the Avid editing system while working on a project that would combine his love for theatre, art, music, and film. In 2003, Ben met Jeremy Doublestein and his involvement in Three Ring Media is the natural evolution of a great friendship, common skill set and shared passion for capturing life's most important moments in a beautiful, story driven form. |
